The Mercure offered a remarkable stay with its prime location near Plaza Molina, making it easy to access public transport. The double rooms, while compact, were cleverly designed with a lovely terrace and all necessary amenities. Breakfast featured a delightful variety of cold and warm dishes, complemented by exceptional service. The reception staff provided a warm welcome, enhancing our overall experience.
No major negatives worth mentioning.

missingWrote a review on Nov 16spacious balconygreat locationclean towelsuncomfortable sofanoise issues
I enjoyed my stay in the Junior Suite with a spacious balcony. The room had a nice layout, perfect for relaxing after a day out. Daily complimentary water and clean towels were a thoughtful addition. The hotel’s location was excellent, with shops and bakeries nearby, making it easy to grab breakfast or snacks. Public transport was just a quick walk away. However, the sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable, and I would have preferred an actual large bed for more comfort. Also, I faced some noise issues from renovation works happening during my stay, which disrupted the peace quite a bit. Despite the charming aspects of the suite, the bed situation could be improved for a more comfortable experience.

It was just a great fit for a short layover in Barcelona with good price value. The staff was friendly, and there were treats available in the lobby. Grab a taxi instead of using the metro for convenience.

missingWrote a review on Oct 27well-equipped gymspacious terracebathroom odors
The gym offers a solid lineup of equipment, perfect for getting a workout in. The rooftop terrace is a real gem, providing ample space with sun loungers and seating—great for unwinding after a long day.
There’s no complimentary water in the room, which is a hassle, especially when the reception can't provide any for purchase either. Also, the shower drain struggles to drain properly, leading to annoying water buildup. To top it off, the bathroom has persistent sewage odors that are hard to ignore, even with the sliding door closed. It's not an ideal situation when you need to medicate just to get some shut-eye. Maintenance seemed slow on resolving these issues, so don't expect quick fixes during your stay.

I recently stayed here with my family and loved the cozy room where my kids enjoyed the sofa bed. We also took advantage of the lovely sun terrace and the relaxing public bath to unwind after our sightseeing. The only downside was some noise between the rooms, but it didn’t make a big difference to our overall experience. 😊
